Stroppy is no longer being updated. The forums
are still going strong, and there is the possibility for a future
version of the site. I'd like to thank everyone
who contributed, or even just looked stupid in a photo,
as they all made the site what it is. I'll do my best to keep the
site up at the address www.stroppy.tk in
the future .
- George.
19/12/05: After a few hours work, the pictures
from Seppo's and Tryan's have been added. Pictures from the formals
are starting to come in, keep checking back for updates there as
I am adding them as I get them. Lastly, a new picture of the week,
from the sports bar after the Hutchins speech night.

17/12/05: There hasn't been any updates for
a while due to exams and the like. If you missed them, the Hutchins
/ Collegiate leaver's BBQ and Party pictures are here.
If anyone has some photos from their Leaver's Dinners that they
would like to be put on Stroppy, would they please send them to
me, and I will put them
up on the site. Soon the photo's from Seppo's will be put up on
Stroppy also. Lastly, in the forums,
The Stroppy Awards are now running, with various categories to
vote in.
05/11/05: It's been a while since I lasted
updated the site, but I thought I'd just bring attention to the
fact that stroppy has surpassed
visits.
Also if anyone has photos from Josh's Leavers party, I would like
them to put up on the site.
29/09/05: After a long night of Stroppy work,
the pictures to Grace's 18th and my 18th are now up, and Bel's 18th
has another 24 photos. There has also been four new photoshops. In
worse news, Stroppy is now banned from Fahan as well as Hutchins.
To finish off, here is a new picture of the week, a very rare photo
of Timmy with a bottle of beer.

09/09/05: The
Stroppy Pool Competition is now open for entries, see here
for details.

22/08/05: A question posted in the forums
prompted me to go over the history of Stroppy.
Stroppy basically
started because I saw the site,
flying llamas and liked the idea of having
pictures from parties, but thought that all msn group sites are
average, and that I could do a better job.
Andy, the creator of the flying llamas site, and I went through many
names before we had stroppy. We wanted something short and catchy, and
our first choice (which I can no longer remember) was already
registered for a .tk so we chose stroppy.
The site was fairly basic at first, using frames and plainish html,
but it has been given considerable boosts in style by use of
javascript, php and of course the flash intro, made by drew.
During the first term holiday, stroppy got banned from school for the
first time, but also during that holiday my hosting changed (from
digitalpirates.css-league.com) to dave's plutonus.net hosting, so the
website was still available from school. But about 3 weeks later the
owners of plutonus.net complained about the bandwidth used, and
subsequently stroppy was relocated back to the much slower
digitalpirates hosting.
It became clear that this hosting couldn't cope with the amount of
usage the site was recieving so I bought some hosting, and the domain
name I bought was annandin.com (only drew knows the true meaning of
annandin). Not very long after this hosting was purchased the school
once again blocked the site, and from my maths I was costing the
school $200 a month from stroppy alone. When this new hosting was
purchased, it came with many new possibilites such as forums. Prior to
the new hosting
www.stroppyforums.tk was registered, and I
created the forums on a freeware forums site, but I never used it.
Another random fact about stroppy is the current colour scheme was
actually borrowed from Petrusma and Partners sign, which is still
sitting in the front lawn of my nextdoor neightbours' property.
3/08/05: Plenty of new photoshops are rolling
in with a common theme. Keep checking the photoshops
section for new entries. To submit photoshops, post them in the
forums or email
me.
29/07/05: Three and a half months after it
started, Stroppy has rolled past the
hit mark., thanks to everyone who has made this site a success. The
Stroppy Forums
are going solidly, with over 1900 posts, and pictures from Jules'
18th are up if you haven't already noticed.
25/07/05: Well after 2 months break, it's time
for another picture of the week. This one is from a new collection
of photos from Soldier's Rock, in Blackmans Bay.

22/07/05: The Karaoke competition has now closed,
thanks to everyone who entered. All the songs are now available for
download in the karaoke competition section. To be able to vote you
will need to be a member of the Forums.
8/07/05: I've just finished adding more pictures
from Lucy's / Flick's 18th, and Dancey's 18th has recently been filled
too. More pictures from Rump's 18th are coming, as are pictures from
Jules's 18th. The Stroppy
Forums are doing quite well, with over 40 members, but more active
members would be nice, so feel free to sign up and get involved with
that. Some bad news this week is that Stroppy has been banned from
Hutchins, because the site used up about a tenth of Hutchin's total
bandwidth, a quite impressive achievement. I am currently investigation
options of getting it unblocked, if you have any ideas please share
them in the forum thread dedicated to the issue.
27/06/05: After a few weeks of hosting problems,
I have bought some hosting and the benifits of that should be a fast,
stable site. A new section has been made possible also, the Stroppy
Forums. Please feel welcome to sign up and contribute on the forums,
just don't post anything unsuitable. A good guide for suitability
would be if the material isn't suitable to be viewed at school. A
couple of things about the forums, please sign up with your name or
nickname that is commonly known, as it would make it easier to know
who everyone is. And also, if you want to have a avatar (display picture),
could that be a picture of yourself from a party or similar if possible.
I hope you enjoy the new forums.
5/06/05: I need
help getting pictures of parties in. As I do not take any photos myself,
I rely on others to give me photos that have been taken. If you know
anybody who took photos at Dancey's 18th, Rump's 18th, Lucy's / Flick's
18th or Rhea's 18th, can you please contact them in regard to obtaining
the photos. And if you have any photos to parties not already covered
here, or photos that are on parties covered but aren't up yet, they
are welcome too. Digital camera photos are of course prefered, but
ordinary film photos are fine also, as I have scanning facilites.
Pictures from the aforementioned parties will be up as soon as people
give me photos from them.
23/05/05: Picture
of the week time, this one is from Andy's 18th, which now has 94 pictures.
Pictures from Alex Dance's are coming soon.

15/05/05: Another
picture of the week, this is a picture from last year, but it's a
Kodak moment. Bezza is on the left (Ace Frehley) , Simmo at the back
(Gene Simmons), Pete at the front (Paul Stanley) and Marty on the
right (Peter Chris).
