Pool Competition

The next Stroppy competition will be a pool tournament. The matches will be held at public venues or private tables, with the venue to be agreed upon by the players of the match. The competition is open to anyone, to sign up list your interest in the Pool Competition section of the Stroppy Forums.

 

Match Rules

When you have 2 shots: if you get a ball in, you only have one shot left
No dishonourable pool shots (hitting other people's balls on purpose)
No put-offs
2005 rule: when the white ball is sunk it can be placed anywhere behind the line and hit in any direction.
3 balls must hit the buffer (other than the white ball) off a break


On a pub table: no chips allowed (damages the table). Loser buys a jug of beer. Pants rule negotiable between players.

Andy's table: chips allowed. Pants rule applies (pants around ankles must run around the court).
